Yes, you can enter on the day. Entries for each event will be accepted up to 15 minutes before the start time. Please come and register at the Staff Room as early as possible to avoid queues and missing your race.
A late entry fee is applicable to all entries on the morning of the race, so we would encourage you to go online and enter beforehand. Please see the online registration page for late entry fees.
If events fill up, we may have to close registrations prior to the day, so we would encourage runners not to leave it to the last moment to avoid disappointment.
Yes – but you need to register for each event and make sure you wear the right bib so your time is correctly recorded.
Run Forest Run is 100% volunteer organised and all proceeds go to our local public schools. Early Bird Registrations will receive a FREE gift as per the online registration page.
All children 15 years and under who finish the event in the 2km and 5km distances will be awarded a medal. All top placed runners in their gender/age categories will be awarded a trophy.
Yes, we take privacy and security very seriously. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on the registration or order forms of our registration partner ‘Active Network’, they encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). You should be able to see https:\\ at the start of the url when you are paying. They are certified as a PCI Level One compliant service provider. This level of compliance, most often associated with banks and financial institutions, means that their system security has been thoroughly reviewed and certified by Visa, and that they have met or exceeded their rigorous standards for transaction and system security. We will do EVERYTHING in our power to hold the event as scheduled. Runner safety is our highest priority. Excessive heat, wind, or rain may cause us to modify or cancel the event. Stay tuned to your email, the website page and Facebook page during event week for updates regarding any event related news and weather conditions.
No. Runner safety is one of our greatest concerns and we know that these things do not mix well with runners.
Yes but we generally discourage anyone walking the 10k course. One of our primary goals is to minimise the disruption to the broader community so we aim to clear the course and open the roads again behind the last runner.
A few days before the event, bibs will be available for collection from the Staff Room – Forestville Public School, Darley Street. All registered runners will receive an email with collection dates and times.
On the day of the event, you can collect your bibs from the Staff Room up to 15 mins before your race. However, we encourage you to come to the Staff Room as early as possible to avoid queues and missing your race.
The bib number will be on each registration form you completed and sent to you via email.
Please alert us as soon as possible and we can revise the results to reflect true times
PLEASE make sure your bib number is attached and visible on the front of your shirt and is worn on event day. This is how you will be identified as a runner at the start/finish line.

Run Forest Run starts from within Forestville Public School near the Melwood Avenue entry, Forestville. Please refer to our parking and transport information.
Please arrive at the start line early. Leave plenty of time to get there and get prepped by stretching, laughing and meeting up with friends.
Start: Melwood Ave school entry. Please go to the new STEAM room, between the Staff Room and School Oval.
Finish: Darley St school carpark entry, just behind the Kindergarten block.

Medals will be handed out to all under 15 participants not long after you cross the finish line. All top placed runners get trophies in their gender/age categories.
You can print off a personalised certificate from the results website.
The medals are awarded based on mat times. The timing chip activates as runners cross the start/finish mat.
We aim to have all results available online by 9pm on Sunday evening.
Event Facility FAQs
The fun isn’t over when you cross the finish line. In fact it’s only just begun. Friends and family are welcome to meet up in the general festival areas. Grab a water and pat yourself on the back for running a race! Then come join the post-event fair!
Food and drink will be on sale from 7.30am on event day. Perfect for breakfast or lunch on the go.
There will be photographers on site during the event, by participating in this event you give your consent for any images or footage to be used in future event promotional material.
